We comply with Senegalese Law No. 2008-12 on the protection of personal data and, for guests residing in the European Union, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

• Identity and contact details: name, email, phone, country.
• Stay: dates, property, number of guests, special requests, messages exchanged.
• ID document of adult guests, requested on arrival.
• Payment: payment references (Wave, Orange Money, PayPal, bank transfer), for accounting purposes.
• CCTV footage of the property's outdoor grounds (article 06).

• Managing your booking, payment and stay (performance of the contract).
• Sending you practical information before and during your stay.
• Meeting our legal obligations as an accommodation provider and for accounting.
• Ensuring the safety of people and property (CCTV, ID document).
• Inviting you to stay with us again, unless you have objected.

We never sell or rent your data.

The Manager and the property team, solely for the needs of your stay, and our technical providers: booking management (Smoobu), payment (PayPal), email delivery (Resend), website hosting (Vercel) and, only if you accept, advertising tools (Meta, Google, TikTok). Some are located outside Senegal and the European Union; they provide recognised data protection safeguards.

• Booking data and correspondence: 3 years after your last stay or contact.
• CCTV footage: 30 days, then automatic deletion, unless an incident occurs.
• Accounting records: the applicable legal period.

Cameras record the grounds around the property, outdoors only, for the safety of people and property. No camera records the inside of the villa. Footage is kept for 30 days, only viewed in the event of an incident, and only the Manager has access. A sign informs you on site.

We never use a photo or video in which you can be recognised (website, social media) without your written consent. This consent can be withdrawn at any time.

You may request access to your data, its correction or deletion, restriction of processing, object to it, or receive it in a readable format (portability). Write to us at contact@bluehorizonshomes.com; we reply within one month.

You may also lodge a complaint with Senegal's personal data protection authority (CDP) or the authority of your country of residence (in France, the CNIL; in the UK, the ICO).

The website uses Vercel Analytics, an audience measurement tool that sets no tracking cookies.

Only with your consent, given in the banner shown on your first visit, we also use the advertising tools of Meta (Facebook, Instagram), Google Ads and TikTok. They set cookies to measure how well our ads perform (for example, whether a booking follows an ad) and to show you our homes on these platforms. Without your consent, none of these tools is loaded and the website works the same way.

Your choice is kept for 6 months. You can change it at any time using the "Manage cookies" link at the bottom of every page.

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss or disclosure.
