House rules

The number of people staying may not exceed the number declared at booking, nor the property's capacity: 12 guests at OceanView Ndayane and 10 guests at PalmView Saly.

Any undeclared guest will be charged and may lead to the end of the stay, without refund.

Check-in from 4:00 PM. Check-out before 12:00 PM.

Early check-in can be arranged on request, at least 48 hours in advance, subject to availability.

Late check-out, on request and subject to availability:

• until 3:00 PM: 35,000 FCFA
• until 6:00 PM: 60,000 FCFA

Late check-out is not available when another guest arrives the same day.

Quiet hours are observed from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM: music and loud conversations must be kept down, out of respect for the neighbours.

Parties, birthdays, weddings and any event or gathering are only possible with prior written approval from BlueHorizons Homes, requested at booking (number of guests, times). Without this approval, they are not permitted.

Day visitors (lunch, drinks) are welcome until 10:00 PM. Anyone staying overnight must be declared and counts towards the booking capacity.

The pool is private and unsupervised. Guests swim at their own risk.

• Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult at all times, in the water and around the pool.
• No diving, no running around the pool.
• No glass near the pool.
• Swimming after drinking alcohol is strongly discouraged.
• The lifebuoy and rescue pole stay in place, near the pool.

The Atlantic has strong currents. Swimming in the sea is entirely at your own risk; our team can advise on the safest spots and times.

The property is non-smoking indoors. Smoking is allowed outdoors only, using the ashtrays provided.

Ash or a smoke smell indoors will require deep cleaning, charged at actual cost.

Pets are accepted on request, with our written approval before arrival. Their owner is responsible for them.

A guard dog lives on each property. It stays in its enclosure during your stay, under the caretaker's responsibility. Please do not approach or feed it, and let us know if you are bringing a pet.

The property is handed over clean, with white bed and bath linen.

• Common areas are cleaned every 2 to 3 days, at no extra cost.
• Cleaning of bedrooms and bathrooms, with fresh linen, is available on request: flat fee of 10,000 FCFA.

On departure, please leave the dishes washed or in the dishwasher, and rubbish in the bins provided.

No security deposit is required. Any damage must be reported to our team straight away. Guests remain responsible for damage caused during their stay, charged at the actual cost of repair, on proof.

Keys and remote controls are handed over on arrival and returned to the caretaker on departure. A lost key will be charged at the cost of replacing the locks concerned.

Water is precious in Senegal. Please switch off air conditioning and lights and turn off taps when leaving a room.

At PalmView Saly, electricity runs on a prepaid meter, topped up by guests; the caretaker will show you how it works on arrival.

A caretaker is on site 24/7. Whenever you go out, please close doors and windows, and set the alarm if the property has one. The caretaker's quarters are private.

CCTV cameras record the grounds around the property, outdoors only, for the safety of people and property. No cameras indoors. Footage is kept for 30 days, then deleted, and is only viewed in the event of an incident. More information in our privacy policy.

During your stay, the BlueHorizons team can be reached 24/7 for any emergency.

Any booking implies acceptance of these house rules. In the event of a serious or repeated breach, BlueHorizons Homes may end the stay, without refund.
